The 2009 CEO
Conference welcomes all accompanying participants to join the
accompanying tours. The following three half-day tours will
leave you with a deep and lasting impression of Taiwan. If you
would like to join the tours, please fill in the registration
form and return it to the Conference Organizer so that a
reservation can be made. Your credit card authorization is also
required to guarantee the reservation. Our travel agent will

【Liouguei
Tunnel】
The mountain is pierced by Liouguei Tunnel, which was used
during the Japanese occupation period for transporting
timber.
【18 Arhats
Mountain】
Eighteen Arhats Mountain is a range of over 40 conical
peaks. The mountain's unique gravel geology is highly
permeable and prone to erosion. As a result, the mountain
has a remarkable shape, with steep, sheer-sided cliffs.
【Meinon】
Established in
1736, Meinong has well preserved its traditional Hakka
culture and old-world ambiance over the years. The township
is well known for its artistic oilpaper umbrellas and Hakka
cuisine, from flat noodles and pig's feet and stewed winter
melon to wild lotus and stir-fried pork intestines with
shredded ginger.

【Fo Guang
Shan】
Fo Guang Shan is famous for ancient and modern Buddhist
culture. It is also known for education, charitable work, a
pilgrimage location, and sightseeing of a Buddhist temple
paradise.
【Lotus
Pond】
Lotus Pond is located east of Zuoying's old community and
west of the North-South railway line. In 1686, Yang Fang-sheng,
the Fongshan magistrate built the Wen Temple (old Confucius
Temple) with Lotus Pond as its companion pool.The lotus
flowers bloom every summer and the refreshing.
【Ciming
Temple - Spring and Autumn Pagodas】
The Ciming
Temple is a Wu Temple (Martial Temple) and is located on the
southwest bank of Lotus Pond. This palace style building was
constructed in 1898 and is a magnificent Oriental building
dedicated to Guan Yu, who was a hero of the Chinese
historical Shu Han Era. In the front of the temple are two
Chinese palace style pagodas known as Spring and Autumn.
These were built in 1951 in order to commemorate the Saint
of Martial Prowess Guan Yu.

【Cijin
Island】
In old Kaohsiung , Cijin Island was called the “Chihou
peninsula.” It was the first Chinese settlement in the
Kaohsiung area and remains an important location to all the
city's residents. After links to the main city were opened
up, including a tunnel that runs under the harbor to the
island and an excellent ferry service, Cijin took off as a
popular destination for city residents looking for a little
beachside relaxation close at hand.
【British
Consulate at Takao】
From a hilltop perch, the former British Consulate building
commands a panoramic view of Kaohsiung Harbor, Sizihwan and
downtown. The baroque-style brick compound is now used as a
historical museum, cafe and restaurant.
【Sizihwan
Bay】
Watching the sunset over Sizihwan Bay is one of the
highlights of Kaohsiung. As night falls, couples can be
found in the gaps between the railings. These gaps in the
railings are referred to as "Lovers' Caves" or "Carrot
Pits".
